BMW PGA Championship and Fortinet - Recap
Fortinet
Let’s start with the Fortinet which was more or less a disaster after Thursday. Thursday was pretty cool when Lucas Herbert was leading and we had him, but that was pretty much the end of that. All in all, we lost 2.85u BUTTTTT, if you are a member of the Gamblers Paradise Discord you may have hit the Degen Parlay this week! That returned over 9u for a 0.25u bet!
BMW PGA Championship
That was an amazing golf tournament and while we had Fox last week only to see him win it this week, it was nice to have 5 of our 6 outright bets land in the top 20, including Aaron Rai who finished T2, but had an eagle putt on 18 lip out that would have forced a playoff!
We had a small 1u profit on the BMW PGA, though it would have been a little bit more had Tom Kim not triple-bogeyed 17 to fall out of the top 10 (thankfully he birdied 18 to get back into the top 20)!
All in, we had a small down week. Oh well, nothing to worry about. On to France!
Cazoo Open de France
The DP World Tour leaves Britain and heads across the channel to Guyancourt1, France for the French National Championship, which is the oldest national open in continental Europe. The players participating in this tournament will get a preview of the 2024 Olympics golf venue at Le Golf National2, which will play to a par 71 across 7,245 yards.
The 2022 Championship saw Guido Miglozzi (60-1 odds) shoot -16 to beat Rasmus Hojgaard (30-1) by 1 stroke. The 20193 edition saw Nicolas Colsaerts (100-1 odds) shoot -12 to top Joachim B. Hansen (60-1) by 1 stroke, and the 2018 edition saw Alex Noren (-7) win as the 3rd favorite, a 14-1 shot, beating Russell Knox (50-1), Julkian Suir (80-1), and Chris Wood (80-1) by 1 stroke. I would expect a winning score in the -10 to -13 range given all the rain that is in the forecast.
The course record of 62 was shot by Eduardo Romero in 2005. The 72-hole record for this tournament since it has been played at Le Golf National was achieved in 1997 by Retief Goosen when he shot -17 (271 strokes).
Given that this course will host the Olympics next summer I did expect some bigger names to show up, but we have the Ryder Cup next week so I think that is clearly keeping a number of the best Europeans from entering this tournament, but we still do have Tom Kim, Billy Hoho, Foxy, MWL, and some other European regulars.
My tickets for this week take 7.35u of risk:

Good luck with all your action!
This is near Paris
This course held the 2018 Ryder Cup so it underwent fairly sizable renovations back in 2015 / 2016.
There was a 2 year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic
Obviously, I am taking a fair number of swings here with relatively a lot of risk so I am going to be fairly limited in my parlay shots this week, but I am going to try to get some action on Min Woo Lee, Aaron Rai, and maybe a small shot at Thorbjorn Olesen.
