Recap - Singapore Classic
Another week on the DPWT and another completely hit or miss, this week a big ole miss.
We had a little bit of fun with Ugo looking good 17 holes in, then he doubled his 18th hole, which was pretty much all she wrote.
I, unfortunately, do not have a ton to say as I was not able to watch a single hole of this tournament, but at least we kept the perfect record going with matchups!
Hero Indian Open
The course:
After a week in Southeast Asia the DPWT heads to the sub-continent of India for India’s National Championship! The 144-man field will be teeing it up at the Gary Player-designed championship course at DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurgaon1.
This parkland-style course plays to a par of 72 across ~7,400 yards of Bermuda grass and has some really interesting things of note:
The front 9 is called the “Lake 9” as it rings around 2 lakes and includes an island green on the Par 3 5th hole.
The back 9 is called the “Quarry 9”, is the longer of the two 9’s, and features significant elevation changes and massive rock formations.
The course has water in play on 6 holes; 4 on the Lake 9 and the final 2 on the Quarry 9.
Note the lead picture on this post and you can see how interesting the bunkers and the green complexes are!
This course is hard, and if the weather gets going, it can be near impossible. Professional golfer Eddie Pepperell even suggested it “was designed by Satan”. If a golfer is going to win this tournament, he is going to be incredibly mentally tough as most of the quotes talk about how brutally testing this course will be.
The cut line last year was +4.
It is worth noting that last year, this tournament was held in February.
Please note that after this tournament the DPWT will take a hiatus and resume in South Korea after the week after the 88th Masters.
Prior results:
2023 - Marcel Seim won his 5th and most recent DPWT event when he shot -14 to top countryman Yannik Paul by 1 stroke2

The 72-hole record was shot in 2011 when David Gleeson shot a -20 (268 strokes) at Delhi Golf Club. Marcel Siem’s performance last year was the best performance in the 5 editions held at DLF.
I did not bet on this tournament last year.
The bets:
I am going to lean a bit heavier on the match-ups slowly as those have performed well, but favoring quality over quantity. That said, I do like this card this week so going for a little bit of extra risk (6.8u), but also acknowledge that we are going to have to commit some bankroll to our Houston Open card (link to picks pending) which we have on the PGA Tour this week.
Outright:
0.54u Yannik Paul 28-1
0.54u Joost Luiten 28-1
0.28u Adrain Otaegui 55-1
0.28u Frederic Lacroix 55-1
0.14 Darius Van Driel 110-1
Top 10 (0.25u each):
Joost Luiten +300
Adrian Otaegui +350
Darius Van Dreil +500
Top 20
1u Yannik Paul -105
0.5u Joost Luiten +135
0.5u Adrian Otaegui +150
0.25u Darius Van Driel +185
0.25u Callum Shinkwin +220
0.25u Masahiro Kawamura +250

This club also has an Arnold Palmer-designed 9-hole course that is not used for this event.
The 2020, 2021, and 2022 editions were canceled due to the COVID 19 pandemic
