I hope you all have had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! It is the unofficial start of summer for those of us in the United States and is often celebrated with BBQs, the opening of swimming pools, and general celebrations, but we should not for a minute forget that this is a holiday where we honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. The debt we owe them and their loved ones can never be repaid.
Recap - Charles Schwab Challenge
So fortunately or unfortunately I was traveling internationally all of the last 6 days so I was unable to watch much of the golf tournament, but my results absolutely sucked.
I often say my view is that anything less than a 5u loss or win is not notable and while that is true, I am really unhappy with how last week went mainly due to the fact that I was just so completely off.
That T20 performance is absolutely brutal and really is something that needs to be righted. Thankfully we can get right to it for Jack’s tournament!
The Memorial Tournament
The PGA Tour leaves Teaxas and travels to Dublin, OH for Jack’s tournament and its annual visit to Muirfield Village Golf Club. This Jack Nicklaus-designed course has bent grass fairways and greens plays to a par 72 across 7,392 yards.
For this week remember, that while this is an elevated event so we have a super talented 120-person field, Jack does not want this to be super low scoring so expect a tough course where these guys will need to score on the Par 5’s and hope to avoid giving back shots on the Pat 3’s. Ball striking will be key once again.
The 2022 edition saw Billy Horschel make me look like a genius at 65-1 odds when he shot -13 and beat Aaron Wise (60-1) by 4 strokes. The 2021 edition saw Patrick Cantlay (-13) controversially1 capture his 2nd Memorial, this time at 20-1 odds, when he topped Collin Morikawa (18-1) in a playoff, and 2020 saw Jon Rahm (20-1) shot -9 to beat Ryan Palmer (250-1) by 2 strokes.
The event’s 72-hole record is -20 (268), which Tom Lehman shot in 1994. Tiger Woods has the record for Memorial titles with 5 victories. Billy Hoho will attempt to become the 2nd man to defend his title in this event after Tiger Woods, who actually won three straight in 1999, 2000, and 2001.

As always, I am using BetOnline and Bovada to pull these odds.
Make sure you are coming over to the Gamblers Paradise Discord where we are chatting all things sports and better. The Discord is entirely free and there are a ton of folks on there talking about the bets they like, the games they are watching, and you can even get some of my picks early.
Daily Fantasy
For those unfamiliar with Daily Fantasy, this is a game you can play (I use Draft Kings) where they give you a budget and use allocate that budget to golfers and use their scoring criteria to try and win money. The dollar values you see below are the “salaries” for each golfer I select. You can mirror what I do, do your own thing, or do some combo and as always I am just showing what I am doing, and is good for me.
Given how poorly the last 2 weeks have gone I am taking a pass here.
Good luck with all your action!
After 54 holes, defending champion Jon Rahm was ROLLING and had a 6-stroke lead, but he was forced to withdraw from the tournament with COVID-19 after testing positive even though he was asymptomatic.
Given this is an elevated event I would normally do a little bit more risk but given how things have been going recently it would be irresponsible and poor bankroll management to over-extend here.
I realllllllly almost just did 1u on Patrick Cantlay +1000, but instead, he is what I am going to be focused on for my parlays this week.
