Butterfield Bermuda Championship - Recap
Well, that sucked. No sugar coating it. That was not good. I do not have much else to say other than it was a crappy end to a pretty decent October that saw us cash 2 outright winners and 7.7u profit on 28% ROI.
Note: I have added a new section in the report above listed as the “2022-2023 Season”. The PGA Tour is still doing its wrap-around calendar so this section will show my performance during this PGA Tour calendar aka all the events starting with the Fortinet Championship and ending with the TOUR Championship so far we have a profit but an ROI that I am not thrilled with.
What specifically I am not happy with (and not to sound like a broken record) is that I have not been profitable when you look across T10, T20, and Head-to-Heads. For those of you who are new to my golf picks, my plan is always to grind profits across those bet types and then hit a few outright winners to really boost profits1.
Let’s see if we can improve that in the weeks to come, starting with this week!

World Wide Technology Championship
The PGA tour stays international with a short trip south of the border to Playa del Carmen to visit El Camaleon Golf Club at Mayakoba in Quintana Roo, Mexico. The course provides an excellent set of hole-by-hole breakdowns and flyovers that I highly recommend if you have the time. This Greg Norman-designed course plays to a par 71 over a distance of ~7,000 yards.
This is a bit of a better field than I had originally expected, including two-time defending champion Viktor Hovland is returning to see if he can make this a 3-peat after his four-stroke victory last year over Carlos Ortiz (JT came in 3rd by 5 strokes, Scheffler came in 4th 6-strokes back, T-5 was Matt Wolff and Joaquin Niemann).

Taking a break from these for the time being.
Good luck with all your action!
Overall profits last season were split about 46-54 between outright and everything else.
I really do not like taking a short money favorite but, similar to Rory a couple of weeks ago, my calculation find a decent amount of value on the favorite and I think we might see him try to replicate his success last year by starting to play around now and until the holiday break and really try to make sure his form is top-notch when he defends his title at Augusta National…..I say that because that’s honestly exactly what I would tell him to do and he and his team are WAY smarter than me.
