Week 1 Recap
For those of you who are new here - every week (good, bad, ugly, whatever) I will have a recap of the prior week’s action1.
Week 1 was a fun week and it was sooooo nice to have football back. Unfortunately, we started with a small loss of 1.7 units.
Now, let’s dig into the first week’s numbers a bit more. I want to focus your eyes on the “Spread” line under the “Season to date” chart. You will see there that we have a .9u gain. Those were the model’s picks!!! Once again, my big dumb ass got in the way of a winning week!!
When you look even further into the details, it is nice to see the 1u plays performing reasonably well. Obviously, this is only 1 week and a VERY small sample, but that is going in the right direction.
As such, I am going to be VERY limited in action outside the model this week. If I have anything it will be money lines (I referred to two last week and both won outright) and a couple of very small parlays and teasers.
Golf Picks
In this space last week, I told you we had the Irish Open and I suggested that you get in on the picks……VINCENT NORRMAN 50-1 winner!!! BOOOOOM!
This week we have 2 more tournaments (links included below):
The DP World Tour’s BMW PGA Championship boasts a pretty strong field, including all 12 members of the European Ryder Cup team
The PGA Tour’s Fortinet Championship has two-time defending champion and US Ryder Cup team member Max Homa going up against US Ryder Cup teammate Justin Thomas and a number of other PGA Tour members in Napa, California.
Thursday Night Football Pick and Analysis
Game 1: Vikings @ Eagles (Thursday 8:20 pm):
Other bets:
I reallllllly debated doing the following teaser but I’m going to PASS on it because I worry about the injuries on the Eagles side and they could totally lose this game. 0.5u on a 7pt teaser +127 - Eagles pk / Dallas -2.5 / Rams +15
0.25u over 48.5 (-110) for the total of the game. I really wanted to do over 24 for the 1st half, but unfortunately it jumped to 24.5 as I was typing this up.
I used to send this as its own post, but I do not want to load up your inboxes so going to include it as part of our Thursday posts.
